The Natalie Work ™
An internal process for realizing self-love, success, and joy through unmasking your hidden truth!
Identify the thought or belief that is currently holding you back and preventing you from your next level of consciousness. It will feel like resistance in your body, fear, doubt, insecurity, anxiety, etc.
This is where The Natalie Work truly begins. Natalie is your ego or inner-child (feel free to name her whatever resonates with you). Pay attention to what age she feels like to you. Oftentimes people start with their Natalie around age 2-7. Natalie holds the key to all your limiting beliefs yet to be uncovered. Limiting beliefs are old beliefs we unconsciously picked up through our childhood, past trauma, conditioning, a soul contract, or any number of things. These beliefs have been governing your mind and actions up until now and since thoughts become things through feelings, they are also creating your current circumstances!
The most impactful way to dive in is to write down the belief. I simply ask Natalie, “What are you thinking right now?” or “Why are you feeling _____?” You can also speak it out in 3rd person, “Natalie is feeling ______” or “Natalie believes _______.” What this does is bring the limiting beliefs or fears to light. Fear can’t live in the light. Typically, the moment we shine light on our fears, we realize how absurd they actually sound. The other thing Natalie is a pro at is creating “worst case scenario” in our minds and then she tries to solve something that isn’t even happening and probably never will!
Once you have your belief on paper or have spoken it out loud, begin to ask yourself, “What could also be true? What feels better? What would I like to be true instead?” Ultimately, you get to choose. You can choose to continue down the path Natalie has taken you down (how’s that working out for you?) or you can choose a new truth, a new path, and begin to affirm that truth instead.
What else comes up for you when you look at those limiting beliefs? Who told you those things? What is the lesson for you in all of this? What was the fear trying to show you? What aha moment comes up for you? Sometimes it’s as simple as affirming a new truth and reminding Natalie that all is well; she is still safe and loved.
Inspired action! Take any action steps throughout the day that feel good, natural, and like the “right” or “easy” next step. The thing to keep in mind is that sometimes your inspired action won’t seem “logical”. Sometimes it’s as simple as lounging with a book or going for a walk. Trust anyway. Always go in the direction of nonresistance – ease and flow is the key.
No matter what, you can’t fuck it up. No matter which direction you go, you will always be given an opportunity to do more Natalie work to uncover more beliefs in order for you to get more clarity. This is good news!
